Before Parents of Black Children (PoBC) was even founded, NOYA was already committed to supporting its mission. Our first step was donating the organization’s branding and web design. We chose to build the website on the WordPress platform using the Divi theme.
Though the site was always intended to be rich in content, we collaborated closely with the PoBC team to develop a clear, efficient sitemap making it easy for parents and educators to quickly find the information they need. Custom Post Types and Advanced Custom Fields are pivotal in building out the different sections of the PoBC website such as:
- Parent and Educator Resources
- Team Members
- News & Media
- Therapists Directory
- Reports and
- Parent Councils
Divi’s Theme Builder, coupled with these plugins, allowed us to create flexible, custom layouts that can be easily managed and updated by the PoBC team—no coding required. The popular GiveWP plugin was integrated to securely collect donations and issue annual tax receipts to donors. The site also includes an online store, powered by WooCommerce, the leading eCommerce plugin for WordPress.
Today, the PoBC website serves as a dynamic resource hub for parents, educators, and allies. It supports advocacy, fundraising, and community building—all through an intuitive, easy-to-manage platform that their team uses on an frequent basis.
