For the Voices UnHeard Data Portal, we designed a data-driven digital experience that translates a complex, high-impact survey into a visually intuitive narrative. The layout blends clean typography with a modular structure that allows each insight to stand on its own while maintaining a cohesive visual flow. We integrated a variety of graph styles – including bar charts, donut charts, counters, and pie charts – to ensure that both large and micro-percentages remained accessible and readable across devices. Each visual was styled in alignment with BWIH’s brand colors creating a research space that feels both authoritative and human-centered.
To enhance engagement, we implemented subtle micro-animations and hover effects that draws attention without overwhelming the viewer. Interactive tooltips, gentle fades, and responsive transitions help guide users through the data while keeping the interface clean and modern. The overall goal was to turn static statistics into a dynamic, scroll-based story. We wanted to create a story that invites exploration, maintains clarity, and supports the credibility of the research. The final result is a data portal that feels polished, intentional, and deeply aligned with BWIH’s commitment to visibility, advocacy, and community impact.
