Building a website in one language is already a complex process. Now, imagine building one in four. That’s what we delivered for the Black Feminist Fund (BFF).
BFF needed a multilingual website that could reflect their new brand identity—complete with updated logos, colors, and fonts—and speak powerfully to multiple global communities. On top of that, they were seeking professional support to refine and elevate their website copy.
NOYA delivered on every front. Here’s how we made it happen.
Content Strategy & Narrative Architecture
For multilingual websites, content structure and narrative clarity are key. That’s why our in-house copywriting team partnered closely with BFF to define what content was essential, what could be streamlined, and how best to tell their story across languages and cultures.
Simone led the content direction, working directly with the BFF team to:
- Shape and refine their organizational story
- Craft concise, impactful biographies
- Clarify and elevate the language around their core programs
Our copywriting process includes two (2) collaborative virtual sessions, two (2) rounds of revisions, and begins early in the design and development process to ensure consistency across the site experience.
Design & Development
At NOYA, we build nearly all of our WordPress websites using Divi—and the Black Feminist Fund project was no exception. For this build, we made extensive use of the Divi Theme Builder, which was essential in supporting a fully multilingual experience. Combined with Polylang, it allowed us to maintain consistent design across all language versions of each page.
Divi’s global modules and design presets enabled us to work efficiently while ensuring the BFF brand was infused into every corner of the site. Their visual identity includes a suite of custom patterns and illustrations, which we incorporated throughout the site as backgrounds, animated elements, and design accents—bringing their bold, vibrant brand to life.
